Henry Alternative Capital Holdings T-shirt

Henry Alternative Capital Holdings is a non-existant investment firm which is a reimagining of Henry Adam Couchman Howard (a human) as a corporation. My goals of financial security, charity, and business and artistic pursuits are presented as different "investments" in the firm's "portfolio".

The joke is that corporate language and imagery can lend anything a sense of authority and professionalism.

The idea of global development as an "investment" that might somehow yield significant returns is a parody of extreme individualism - only doing what is right if it benefits you. However, the amounts "invested" in global development charities are real and represent a genuine attempt at making the world a better place.

The emphasis on index funds represents my genuine interest in these as low-cost, equally well-performing alternatives to professionally-managed investment funds.

The artistic and business "ventures" are mostly just ideas that I think are interesting and want to express.
